Hi, my name is Pam Nunn. I am so excited to be starting my sixth year at Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in Gwinnett County and 3rd grade for one year in DeKalb County. I received my undergraduate degree at Georgia Southern University. I have a Masters Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in addition to my Specialist Degree in BrainSMART teaching from Nova Southeastern University. Learning is an ongoing process for me so that I can enhance my craft to reach our 21st century learners.
I am a native of Atlanta and have lived here all my life. I actually grew up in DeKalb County Schools - graduating from Peachtree High School. My husband, Chris, and I have 3 grown children. Our oldest son, Michael, is married and has an adorable little boy that will turn 9 in November and another little boy that just turned 4. I'm sad because they live in Colorado.. I miss my little boys. :-( Our daughter, Katie, and her husband moved to Texas a year ago for his job. They have a have a 3 1/2 year old little girl and a 22 month old little boy. I'm miss watching them as they change daily. Our youngest son, Matthew, is also married. Both he and his wife work for Chick-fil-A. He is currently in the Owner-Operator program with Chick-fil-A. They will be moving around for another 1 1/2 year training. They have a little girl that will be 2 at the end of August.
Kittredge is a special place. Working with children that want to learn and excel is very rewarding. I am looking forward to guiding my students toward reaching their full potential this year. I feel very strongly that the parents, students, and the teacher must work together to achieve this goal. This is going to be a different type of year, but we can do it! :-)
